About Us

Thank you for visiting Pack 8888 at Hsi Lai Temple in Hacienda Heights, CA. We are proud to be chartered by Fo Guang Shan Hsi Lai Temple, founded by Master Hsin Yun in the 1980s. Our scouts benefit from the support of a dedicated group of parents, and we enjoy a range of indoor games and outdoor activities.

The mission of Scouting America is to empower young people to make ethical and moral choices based on the principles of the Scout Oath and Law. In the same spirit, the Hsi Lai Boy Scouts, inspired by Venerable Master Hsing Yun's teachings, strive to practice the "Three Acts of Goodness": Do Good Deeds, Speak Good Words, and Think Good Thoughts, living as Bodhisattvas in the human realm. These principles encourage individuals to embody kindness and compassion in their daily lives.

We invite all boys and girls from kindergarten to 5th grade to join our pack!

Scout Oath

On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; To help other people at all times; To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.

As an American, I will do my best to -
